cherries and milk, cookies and gifts. out in the street, there is a woman standing. she has a little girl in her hand, fate, then, she sits on the sidewalk, ringing her bell,
jingling. and her life is unwinding

Tilting her head to the right, devouring one and near in sight.
And then her eyes wandered near to the green,
Where the sun shone whiteness and the stars still she could see, In her mind and through her screen, she gazed at the trees.
Until she was somewhere else altogether, serene.

Adolescents laughing around the silver sea,
Bushes and beetles and spiders in barks,
Barks and shouts and shivers and spindles, Webs underneath her fingers snap and wither.

Really? Wow, I guess I'm honoured.. and all that.

Two meanings --
1. First, it's a lyric from the Red Hot Chili Peppers song 'Dani California'. Which is one of the most unbelievably great songs ever written.

2. Second, I'm not ashamed to say it, but there was this teen tv show called 'The OC' (OC as in Orange County, California), that is now my favourite show. Its theme song was also titled 'California' (by another group called Phantom Planet). And I grew up with that show, and it's a part of me. So when it got canceled, all I could think was.. 'California, rest in peace.'

So yeah.
And now that you do ask, what the heck is rickrolling?

I'm surprised you've never heard of the Rickrolling phenomenon. Actually, it may have died after his appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade but anyway....

being "Rickrolled" is when you click on a link thinking it's something relevant, and you end up at a video of Rick Astley singing his signature song "Never Gonna Give You Up."
